The first product I think of is the temperature window. The function of the temperature window is to convert the heat from the outside to the cold air that release inside. It can also functions in the opposite way, which is converting the cold hair from outside to heat, and then release the heat inside. Temperature windows are different in sizes from the normal windows. They are thicker than the normal windows because there are many technologies and converter running between the two layers of windows. Our target customers are houses, apartment, companies’ buildings, hotels and etc. The temperature windows can be installed on the external wall of the building. These windows will then provide them with heat in the winter and cold air in the summer. The delivery system of this product will be around the whole world. Since airplane shipping is expensive and also limited in the amount, all the orders will be transfer by ships across the ocean. The point of sale system of this product would be just simply an electronic system which received orders, sent out orders, payment and etc. I think the temperature window is a good idea because it can help to create sustainability in our environment. In today’s society, people started to become more and more aware of the pollution and environment. Temperature windows, which can replace the air conditioners, heaters, fans, are more environmentally friendly. And that’s what many people are looking for in the future.
Another service I think of is the motivating course. The service will base on a program that lasts for 1 week. In that 1 week, participants will have different workshops, experiences that can guide them to find the value of life. The target customers for this service are mainly teenagers between 14-20 years old, which is a period of rebellion for many youths. After attending the course, the participants are expected to change from head to toe, to a totally different and more mature people. There will not be any delivery services because it is the participants, that want to sign up, come to the course center by themselves. I think this is a really great business idea because I was one of the participants that attended a motivation course in Hong Kong. This course really changed me a lot from a rebellious to what I am today. It made me realize what the real purpose of life is. Therefore, I believed that the course would definitely have the same, positive impact on them just like me.
I think his first idea of a temperature window is very creative. I think would be a very popular product to have in hotels, especially in any industry that requires servicing to people in rooms. However i am curious to know how he will produce the product and how much people would pay per window. I also think his idea of a cheaper delivery system is good for building customer relationship.
ReplyDeleteI also think the motivation course is a good venture idea however i would like to know what exactly will these participants do to motivate themselves. It would be nice to know an example of the workshops the students will be part of. As for advertising and announcing this program to people around the world the best way is to start by getting a group of volunteers to help pass out brochures around the city and then move on to online advertising. This would really get peoples attention and capture their interest

The first idea is actually quite brilliant because it is creative and it's something people would really love to have. I believe the start up cost would be extremely high to create such an advance product and shipping it over to other locations. Also these windows would be pretty expensive.
ReplyDeleteI also really like the 2nd idea because it's rare to have some course like that around here. Though there may be some competition like cadets, afterschool clubs, and even counsellors. Also, it would be expensive as start up and trying to promote it because people would rather go get motivations for free.

I like the first idea of the "temperature windows". It's really creative but also requires quite a bit of research and developement. I think if invented, it would be a really big hit in warmer places like Arizona and Nevada where most of the area's are warm deserts.

The "temperature windows" seems to be a creative idea. However, how would you establish this product and how expensive could it get? I'm not sure the product itself will sell that quickly in the beginning, which means not a guarantee in profit.
ReplyDeleteYour second venture idea is interesting but would people go somewhere like that where they are entering a place they are not quite familiar with? For example, those who are alcoholics lean to Alcoholics Anonymous because it is a known facility.
The windows are a very good idea but the production of it could be fairly difficult and expensive. However, with proper advertisement and such, this could be a very profitable business as the actual uses of the product are very practical.
ReplyDeleteThe course idea is also interesting but it could be very difficult to get people who would be interested enough to actually want to participate in the workshops. Also it would take alot of time to prepare the program, so it may not be a worthwhile business.
Temperature windows make for a good idea. In concept, this could lower energy costs and increase comfort. In practice though, how would you actually manufacture these windows? But it could possibly be the next best thing.

Your idea of temperature windows seems like a difficult concept that would require extensive amounts of time for research and development but in the end the profit seems to be high because of such new technology. Overall I like the idea because it is risky and being rich is about being risky and smart.

I think your first idea is really creative. It is something very useful to have living in Vancouver since we have really cold winters. Would the temperature window be operated using electricity or is there something else you have in mind?

The temperate window is very creative! I’ve never heard of anything like it before.. But I was just wondering who will be carrying or producing such a product as what you described? How much is it going to cost? And will you be the one installing the window?

I can definitely relate to it and I think everyone needs some form of motivation in their life, to set them back on track. But I was just wondering where you’d be able to provide your classes? Do you have an actual plan to teach a class already?
